Consistent, forward-thinking and collaborative define
Georgia’s economic development strategy, attracting
a record-breaking $26.3 billion in investments across
the state in Fiscal Year 2025 and netting more than
420 commitments that will create at least 23,200 new
private-sector jobs over time.
Over the last decade, Georgia has sustained steady
growth in job creation, giving Georgians the opportunity to live and work in any community they choose.
Seventy-four percent of commitments came from
companies already calling Georgia home— a vote of
confidence in our state and our people. For Georgians,
maintaining a business-friendly environment means
local tax bases are improved, our economy is more
resilient and more opportunities are available to them.
It is why we work together across all levels of government to deliver for our people.
online in 2026, driving economic development, supporting local jobs and providing businesses an affordable

Global Base for (Sports) Business
Sports business is big business, and Georgia is
positioned for an incredible opportunity in 2026 as a
host to eight FIFA World Cup matches. We’re preparing for an event that will accelerate Georgia’s position
in the global economy in a way only the 1996 Summer
Olympics 30 years ago could compare.
Building for the Future
Building on these strengths, Georgia is preparing
for the future— not only by becoming the Top State
for Talent, but by investing in sites that meet today’s
speed-to-market timelines.
More than $18 million in grants for site improvements and studies have been awarded through the
Rural Site Development Initiative (RSDI), created by
Gov. Brian Kemp and funded by the Georgia General
Assembly. This visionary and much-needed program
is another proof point for Georgia partnerships. Our
state leaders work directly with local economic development authorities, empowering communities to
shape their own future. No matter if a community is
interested in advanced manufacturing, agribusiness,
technology or home-grown innovation and entrepreneurship, Georgia puts communities in the driver’s
seat, with the Georgia Department of Economic
Development and our sister agencies as guides.
Our partners in education, workforce, community
development, utilities and transportation are making
incredible investments that support statewide growth.
