“Wielding strong relationships
across the General Assembly and
throughout the state, the B.I.G.
Entertainment Network and the
companies B.I.G. represents were
without a doubt the prime movers
for getting the standalone-post-production bill passed this session,”
says Jonathan Harb, CEO of The
Whiskytree Southern Corporation. “The legislation will create

high-quality Georgia jobs, yield a
boom in post-production and related industries, and further solidify

creation. We are all looking forward
to what comes next!”
The original post-production tax
credit was enacted by the Georgia Legislature in 2017 and sunset
in 2022. This post-production tax
credit renewal is more than just a
tax credit— it is a revival for an ev-
er-evolving industry. It is a rally cry
that Georgia is carving out a place
for the post-production industry
amidst the challenges of a few uncertain years of strikes, realignment
and new technology. The Peach
State is known for its film production and now we are taking the next
steps to close the circle on production and become a truly full-service
state in the creative economy.
No matter where movies are
shot, a strong post-production
industry is revolutionizing filmmaking with artificial intelligence and
breakthrough technology. With
high-paying jobs and an industry
projected to be worth $46.5 Billion
by 2031, we’re “all in” on post-production in Georgia.
