Nestled in one of the valleys about 30 miles north
of Big Creek Distilling, just outside Tiger, Georgia—
between Lake Rabun and Lake Burton— Stonewall
Creek Vineyards produces award-winning wines on
its 20-acre estate which grows classic French varietals
and French-American hybrids in that beautiful Appalachian soil. Besides the gorgeous setting, the vineyard
offers a luxury experience and award-winning wines.
Stonewall Creek is family-owned and began in 2004
with the purchase of a cabin, a barn, and 5.8 acres of
previous orchard property. Malbec was the first varietal
of choice, with 150 Malbec vines were planted in 2005
with subsequent varietals added
over the years. Winemaking started
in 2011, and the tasting room and
outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard’s picturesque landscape were
added three years later.
Mark and Sandi Diehl purchased
the vineyard in 2018, which has

grown to 7,000 vines on seven acres and produces a
variety of wines which have received numerous awards
and accolades.
