and tax revenue to job creation—

Georgia as centers of business,

that reinforces Georgia’s appeal for
investment.
For many international organizations, their first experience of
Georgia begins on the Authority’s
campus— a thriving, walkable ecosystem that includes GWCC’s 1.5
million square feet of exhibit space,
Centennial Olympic Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Signia by
Hilton Atlanta. That first impression, defined by professionalism,
accessibility, and hospitality, often
shapes future site selections, partnerships, and long-term economic
decisions across the state.

ty campus has been deliberate and
closely aligned with statewide economic priorities. It’s made possible
through the continued commitment
and forward-thinking investment of
visionaries in the Georgia legislature
and the Governor’s office who have
long recognized the lasting value of
the Authority’s work. From Gov. Jimmy Carter, whose vision and leadership created the Authority and
supported legislation that authorized construction of Building A, to
Gov. Nathan Deal, who championed
the most recent GWCC expansion,
to Gov. Brian Kemp’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure enhancements and the addition of Signia by
Hilton, state leaders have made it a
priority to sustain and strengthen
this vital economic engine.
Expansion and modernization
efforts have emphasized not only
scale, but functionality, connectivity
and long-term competitiveness. As
a key economic driver for Georgia,
the Authority continues to advance
a cohesive campus identity that
integrates greenspace, mixed-use
elements, and a safe, pedestrian-friendly environment to enhance
the visitor experience and support
surrounding communities. Guided by a forward-looking planning
framework, these efforts reflect a
shared vision between state leadership and the Authority, aligning
stewardship of public assets with
broader urban development goals.
These investments are evaluated through the lens of economic
return, market demand, and longterm viability, ensuring responsible
growth that benefits Georgians
statewide. Strategic expansion
and integration across the campus
have further positioned Georgia to
compete successfully for marquee
conventions, national championships, concerts, and global sporting
events that might otherwise be
