Jack told me he learned, even
before he was elected, that the
company and its workers were very
concerned about being a target
over the proposed rule. “They
briefed me about this before I was
elected,” he says. “And once I was
elected I re-engaged them and,
sure enough, the day after Christmas in 2024, Biden issued the rule
effectively forcing Rinnai to close.”
“I quickly worked to repeal this
legislation. It passed the House
in February and in April 2025 it
passed the Senate. And I stood by
President Trump when he signed
the repeal into law,” he says. Jack
employed use of the Congressional
Review Act that enables Congress
to disapprove of any rule or regulation announced by the executive
branch within 60 legislative days.
To celebrate the enactment
of his legislation, Jack invited his
friend, the U.S. Secretary of Energy
Chris Wright, to Griffin to visit the
Rinnai factory and celebrate with
the workers whose jobs he saved.
In fact, to date, Jack has brought
seven members of President
Trump’s Cabinet to his congressional district— including Vice President J.D. Vance to Jack’s hometown
of Peachtree City last August. It’s
further proof of his powerful network of allies in Washington.
A Constituent Speaks Out
Rinnai president Frank Windsor is naturally grateful. “On behalf
of everyone at Rinnai America, I
want to extend our deepest gratitude to Congressman Brian Jack
for his unwavering support in advancing the Congressional Review
Act resolution. His leadership in
standing up for American manufacturing, protecting jobs and
ensuring that consumers are not
burdened with unnecessary costs
is a testament to his commitment
to the people of our great state of
Georgia. Thanks to his efforts, we
are one step closer to preserving
the choices and energy-efficient
products that American families
expect and deserve.”
What a tribute to the freshman
congressman who displays an obvious love for his district and state.
“When it comes to constituent
services, if any constituent-- Republican, Democrat, or independent-has a problem with the federal
government, I want to be their
advocate,” Jack emphasizes.
As for the future, the affable congressman demonstrates
great potential to continue rising
through the congressional ranks
as he pursues the “America first”
philosophy he shares with the
president.
