CEO, ATLANTA HAWKS
The youngest daughter of Atlanta’s
legendary late civil rights leader
Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. has followed in her father’s footsteps
both as a minister and attorney. She’s also
carried on his legacy as a voice for social justice, particularly on issues relevant to the
black community.
This lifelong Atlantan came to the
Hawks in 2014 after stints at Coca-Cola and Turner Broadcasting,
bringing decades of marketing expertise to the city’s NBA franchise. During
that time he has led the team through a rebrand, an ownership change, a sterling new
Brookhaven training facility and a major renovation of State Farm Arena, which was subsequently ranked first in the league for
“Overall Game Experience.”

group. One of her top priorities has been the
ambitious reimagining of Downtown Atlanta, anchored by the $5 billion Centennial
Yards development that will be on full display when the World Cup comes to town
this summer.
The former Suwanee mayor has
had a long career in economic development, and brings that expertise to the chamber for one of
Georgia’s largest, wealthiest, and most diverse
counties. He also oversees Project Gwinnett,
the county’s business recruitment initiative
that has created tens of thousands of jobs
and secured billions of dollars in investment
to the county.

hope to lure the NHL back to Georgia.
Cobb has been one of the most successful counties in the state (if not
the nation) at securing investment
and business relocations over the
past decade, and Mason has been involved in
much of it through her career at the chamber.
She serves on the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority Board, as well as the boards
of the Cobb Community Foundation and Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
