Glenn Hicks, chair of GWCCA’s board

tors business better. Duvall oversaw
the construction of Mercedes-Benz
Stadium and has seen the growth of
the GWCC stretch to nearly 4 million
square feet of exhibition space, hosting more than a million visitors every
year. It is the world’s largest LEED
certified convention center, boasts a
campus that now spans 220-acres, featuring the 22-acre Centennial Olympic
Park and GWCCA’s headquarter Hotel
Signia by Hilton Atlanta.
Duvall is now working with
a talented team to build on the
organization’s legacy of excellence.
“Together, we will continue to drive
innovation, deliver compelling guest
experiences, and create lasting
value for our stakeholders as part
of GWCCA’s strategic vision for a
connected campus that caters to
the needs of current and future
customers and positions Atlanta as
a leading destination for entertainment and leisure activities,” he says.
Duvall believes that Poe’s tenure
as CEO was the perfect amount of
time for Duvall to work alongside
him as the Chief Operating Officer
and to prepare for the CEO role. It
gave him a grasp of the entire campus, helping oversee the operations,
seeing development done on campus, including the College Football
Hall of Fame, the pedestrian mall in
front of the World Congress Center,
the transportation terminal, and
most recently, the Hilton hotel.
“We are thrilled to welcome
Kevin as the new CEO of Georgia
World Congress Center Authority,”
