“The Synchronicity Mural serves as a welcome to our
district that signals you are coming to a special place.
The project was truly a collaborative effort,” said Alyssa
Davis, executive director of the Sugarloaf CID. “Thanks to
the investments of our property owners and partners, we
are able to build projects that instill a sense of pride in our
community and advance our larger goal of establishing
our district as Gwinnett’s Downtown.”

with a major mobility project. Currently in progress is the
Cumberland Sweep, a three-mile corridor that will have
dedicated walking and biking lanes and an autonomous
shuttle system, making travel around Cumberland quick
and efficient.
“We are taking a bold approach to transportation,” said
Menefee. “We plan to have the latest technology integrated with the shuttle system which will help address the
first and last-mile connectivity issues in the region. The
project is in the planning phase, but we are excited to have
community support for the vision of the Sweep.”
The Cumberland Sweep will connect Truist Park, The
Battery Atlanta, Cumberland Mall, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Cobb Galleria Centre, national parkland
and more, providing not only a cultural amenity but an
important and much-needed transportation resource.
The alignment of the Sweep will connect to local transit
options and MARTA. And the Cumberland Bus Transfer
Center will be a priority connection for the Sweep, since it
will provide individuals who do not own a car an efficient
commute option to and from Cumberland.
True North 400
The future Encore Greenway Park, located at North
Point Parkway and Encore Parkway, will provide a critical
and more direct connection to one of North Fulton’s most
valuable amenities: the Big Creek Greenway. This benefits the North Point corridor by providing a more robust
connection to this premier trail system, so those who
live, work, shop and visit the area can more easily enjoy
this amenity and access to nature. The Encore Greenway
Park and Gateway project, a partnership between the
city of Alpharetta and True North 400, broke ground in
February 2025.
True North 400’s investments in infrastructure, roadway and trail projects have catalyzed the transformation of
Sugarloaf CID
A major focus of the Sugarloaf CID is creating connections in the community. Bridging the two sides of I-85 was
a goal of the founding board members of the Sugarloaf
CID who did not want the interstate to feel like a barrier
dividing the district. And they recently completed two
projects to help bridge the eastern and western sides of
the district.
They installed landscaping on the east side of the
Sugarloaf Parkway and I-85 interchange to mirror the
landscaping on the west side of the interchange. They
also completed the nearly 11,000 square foot Synchronicity
Mural at the interchange underpass by artist Krista Jones,
AKA Jonesy.
Among the biggest projects to date were improvements to the Sugarloaf Parkway corridor, including
