memberships,” Hale said. “Hopefully,
that will continue and people will
see what we have. I’m really excited
about the future. It gives us a great
goal to get it as polished up as it
possibly can be.”
Changnon added, “Just very
recently, the opening of the Goizueta Children’s Experience, that is a
monumental way for us to have families bring children into the muse-

NEW CENTER PLANS AHEAD
As part of its 100th anniversary celebration, the center will host
some new exhibits such as “Our
War Too,” which is on loan from the
National WWII Museum in New
Orleans and is about women’s roles
in the war.
“We’re thrilled,” Changnon said.
“We’re going to be hosting that in the
fall. The ongoing public programs are
so brilliant. We want to be a place
where it’s an invitation to the audience. Easter is coming up and it’s
really another popular event.”
Hale said the center’s plans are
far reaching. “We’re expanding classrooms, expanding our boardwalk in
the woods, so there’s a lot coming
ahead,” he said.
Changnon, whose career was in
the TV/film industry before joining
the center last spring, said she’s
continually pleased with the events
the center regularly hosts. “We just
came off a successful King Day
event this past January,” she said.
“We want to be a place where it’s an
invitation to the audience.”
