Why was Georgia the right choice
for Rivian’s long-term manufacturing expansion?
How will this new Georgia plant
strengthen Rivian’s overall U.S.
production strategy?
We knew from the start that Georgia was a perfect place for Rivian to
grow— enabled by a highly skilled,
diverse workforce, the infrastructure to tap into global markets, truly
world-class universities and technical schools and a business friendly climate with great leadership
through Gov. Brian Kemp. Beyond
the objective measures, the innovative spirit of the state aligns perfectly
with our mission to build the vehicles of tomorrow with thousands of
good-paying Georgia jobs.
Our future plant in Stanton Springs
North is the opening passage of our
next chapter, built specifically to
produce our high-volume R2 and R3
vehicles for domestic and international markets. When fully built, this
facility will be able to produce up
to 400,000 Rivian vehicles per year,
employing 7,500 people and serving
as the cornerstone of our industrial
footprint in America.
Our East Coast Headquarters, right
along the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside
Trail, offers us a presence in one of
the nation’s great cities and further
reinforces our investment in the
Peach State. Not just a place for up
to 500 Rivian employees to work, the
building features our Rivian Commons where people can experience
our products and brand firsthand,
while our teams there work to
support the company’s operations
in Georgia, across the country and
even abroad.
How is Rivian partnering with
local schools, technical colleges,
and universities to build workforce
pipelines?
We are actively building partnerships from the high school to graduate degree level and continue
